PLA is one of the most environmentally friendly filaments on the market today. PLA plastic or polylactic acid is a vegetable-based plastic material, derived from crops such as corn and sugarcane, making PLA renewable and most importantly biodegradable. This material is a thermoplastic aliphatic polyester and it is the primary natural raw material used in 3D printing.
